April is a fantastic time to travel to the Caribbean, as the weather is the most enjoyable. You’ll have mostly sunny days and comfortable, moderate temperatures. If you can wait until the end of the month (the “shoulder season”) to book your trip, you’ll also save money and avoid the Spring Break crowds. The only down side to this is that you can expect large crowds of people especially at popular destinations.
One way to avoid the crowded hotels is to book a vacation property direct from the owner. The main benefit to this is that you can choose when and where to eat, with the added benefit of privacy. The cost of booking a Carribbean vacation rental can be cheaper than a hotel stay, especially if there are a few people in your party, e.g a large family, or two or more families. You could even get your vacation cheaper still, by going last minute. If you search for vacation rental late deals, you may be able to find a villa that is empty, and the owner has considered renting it for a reduced price. All you have to do then, is arrange your flights, and that is really easy these days, because of the internet.
